The Remembrance Project

Crisis Intervention
& Chaplaincy Services

A COLLABORATION WITH THE COUNSELING TEAM INTERNATIONAL & CAREFORCE.US

Grief is heavy. It becomes unbearable when a loved one dies in a senseless, violent, and preventable crime. Shockwaves hit families and communities. Lives shatter. Questions remain. Sadly, these tragedies are not accidents. They result from policy failures. Illegal aliens within our borders create risk. This risk leads to innocent lives taken.

Moreover, ignoring this link disregards victim suffering. We have a duty to prevent future tragedies. We must address the root cause. This means addressing those who should not be here. Then, we can create a safer society. Killings become a distant horror. Secure borders and responsible immigration are not abstract. They protect citizens. They honor the lost. Therefore, we must acknowledge the link between illegal immigration and these crimes. Only then can we prevent them. Only then can we comfort the harmed.

Essentially, we must act. We must change policies. We must protect our citizens. We must remember the victims.

A note from a parents who visited their child today: "Spencer would’ve turned 37 today." Spencer was an entrepreneur, an employee and a musician - he worked three jobs! Spencer employed 9 people in his guitar shop, he took a third job in a warehouse to be sure he met his payroll, and his third job was as a musician. Spencer, like his father, loved music. His father, Dan, cherishes having shared the stage with his son for the last time shortly before Spencer was killed.

On his way home after dropping off his girlfriend after taking her to dinner for her birthday on January 31, 2015, Spencer was stopped at a traffic light when an illegal alien pulled up beside Spencer and shot Spencer in the head. No altercation, no provocation...just shot this precious young man and drove away (and shot two others who survived).

Spencer died alone in his truck.

PLACE YOURSELF IN THEIR SHOES: The next morning was supposed to be Spencer's re-grand opening of his guitar shop. Spencer constructed the build-out of rooms for private lessons in his shop. His mom, Julie, keeps a hold of her last day with Spencer. She stopped by the shop, they enjoyed ice-cream, she told him she loved him and she'd see him the next day for the grand-opening.

The illegal alien was released into the streets of the sanctuary city of Houston, Texas. An illegal who had spend 5 years in prison, who was supposed to still be in prison when he killed Spencer! Why? Because the illegal nearly killed an inmate!

We lost a good soul who had every right to live!
OUR children matter!
This killing and every killing of a citizen was preventable -if that illegal was not allowed access to our loved ones.

Yes, please pray for the Golvach family and all of our angel families.
And, be angry that our children and loved ones' safety are not the priority in our own country! Don't sit back in silence.
